Some Pictures from Fayoum
I went to Fayoum, an Oasis about 2 hours away from Cairo last weekend.
The pictures I have do not capture the surreal beauty of this place. Maybe if the pictures were as large as they could be, you might be able to see the lush green and diversity.. I just can't explain it.
The landscape is amazing, but the people I met were even more so...

that place looks awesome. what was the temperature like? if i see sand i immediately feel too hot >,<
i guess they are building more there?
The heat is different here... it was hot, but very bearable.
Where I was at, yes, they were building something. I'm not sure at what rate things are being built there... it's not like in the states though. I think if you drive away these people for the sake of 'pretty homes' then you loose an amazing food supply.
